A lawsuit filed by a bartender claims that José Andrés is underpaying his staff at the Hudson Yards Spanish food market, Mercado Little Spain, reports Eater. Tina Braunstein claims that since she began working at the food hall in April, she has been paid an hourly rate under minimum wage.
Mercado Little Spain denies the allegations. “We firmly believe that we have properly paid all of our employees and will vigorously defend any claims to the contrary,” the company says in a statement sent to Eater. Full Story
