A new report from Fitch Solutions Macro Research has revealed that sustainability is becoming a central issue for the agriculture industry, reports Food Business News. Both consumer-facing industries and governmental agencies are adapting to the shifts in public environmental consciousness and engagement.
The report says two global trends will continue to make sustainability a key issue in agriculture. First is the movement to decrease the amont of greenhouse gas emissions that agriculture produces, and the second is growing consumer concern over health, sustainability, and animal welfare.
