New York Senator Requests Investigation into Grubhub Fees

Senator Charles Schumer of New York has called on the federal Small Business Administration to send a report to Congress on “bogus fees” that Grubhub has been accused of charging restaurants, reports Crain’s New York Business. Schumer also advised the Federal Trade Commission to be ready to act on the findings of the SBA report.

“Bogus fees of any kind add up fast—one dollar or two here and there—and before you know it, a big company like Grubhub has millions of dollars they never really earned,” says Schumer. “Today, I am putting in my own order at Grubhub and asking them to eat any fees they wrongfully charged restaurants or even customers.” Full Story
