Grubhub has released its top delivery trends for 2019, reports Food Business News. Last year, healthier breakfast items like detox juices and peanut butter acai bowls dominated the list, but this year, more traditional breakfast items like chicken and waffles or sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits came out on top.
Frozen desserts are also on the rise, with brownie sundaes being the most popular item requested. Plant-based options like the Impossible Burger and cauliflower bites are trending when it comes to late-night orders, remaining especially popular in big coastal cities. Pork buns, truffle Parmesan fries, and quinoa and arugula salad are expected to grow in popularity this summer, while pesto pasta, fried okra, and lemon grass soup are predicted to popular dishes in the fall.
