Demand for Mexican craft beer is growing within Mexico and the U.S., reports Bloomberg. While sales of domestic brands declined by 4.2 percent in 2018, premium Mexican brands grew by 2.8 percent, with Corona and Modelo leading the pack.
Quest Beverage, founded by former Anheuser-Busch executives, imports Mexican craft beer with the hopes of expanding American palettes beyond the traditional Mexican lagers. “The craft beer scene in Mexico is much like that in the U.S. 20 years ago,” says Quest’s CEO Gregg Billmeyer. “Demand is growing quickly at 60 and 70 percent per year.” Full Story
