Food Writer Molly O'Neill Dead at 66

Molly O'Neill, celebrated author of books such as "Mostly True: A Memoir of Family, Food, and Baseball," and "One Big Table," has passed away at the age of 66 from cancer, reports The New York Times. O'Neill had a very public battle with the disease, reportedly even planning a book around her illness tentatively titled, "Liver: A Love Story."  

She is fondly remembered by both the food and writing communities. “She celebrated all kinds of cooks and articulated very clearly that cooking is what brings us together,” says Ruth Reichl, author and former Times restaurant critic. “And she had no prejudice about whether this kind of food was better than that kind of food.” Full Story
