Meat and Cheese: The Perfect Pairing at the Summer Fancy Food Show

There are few things that pair as well as meat and cheese. Here are some new products to check out at the Summer Fancy Food Show to complete any charcuterie or cheese board.

North Country Smokehouse Harpoon IPA Beer Bratwurst and Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage: Available in 12-ounce packages, these are all-natural, Certified Humane meats. The bratwurst is a balanced blend of Harpoon IPA with bold notes of caraway and marjoram and the sausage blends custom-crafted Vermont Farmstead cheddar cheese with jalapeño spice for a creamy, flavorful taste.

Somerdale International British Cheese Kit: This kit will feature quintessentially British cheeses sourced from cheesemakers who are long established, family-run, producers who make cheese of the highest quality, consistency and taste. These will include Cropwell Bishop Blue Stilton, Traditional Red Leicester, Cave Aged PDO, and Wensleydale with Cranberries.

Fromagerie Henri Hutin Belletoile Semi-Soft Sliced Cheese: Belletoile Creamy Slices are a natural semi-soft sliced cheese made from just three ingredients. The cheese is produced by master cheesemakers from the Lorraine region of France in the art of soft ripened cheese like Brie. They offer a unique texture with a mild satisfying taste and an incredibly creamy mouth feel. Precision-sliced and wafer-thin, Belletoile Creamy Slices are packed in re-sealable packaging in Germany for continued freshness after opening. They are GMO-free.

Marx Companies Pasture Raised Goat: The Marx Companies will debut its newest premium meat program at this year’s Fancy Food Show at booth 1873. Goat has previously only been available to distributors and chefs as a six-way-cut whole carcass. In partnership with New Zealand brand Ovation, The Marx Companies is now offering a full line of individual cuts, including: frenched racks, boneless loins, tenderloins, bone-in legs, bone-In breasts, foreshanks, boneless shoulders, and trimmings. These cuts are now available for distributors and foodservice professionals. The company plans to extend the selection to consumers through its e-commerce website, marxfoods.com, at a later date. The cuts are free of antibiotics, growth hormones and GMOs (which are illegal in New Zealand).

Caribe Producers Greg Norman Signature Wagyu Beef Jerky: This is the first 100 percent Australian Wagyu Beef Jerky in the United States. The beautifully marbled, savory, authentic Australian Wagyu jerky is available in two flavors: Mesquite and Teriyaki. The Mesquite has a smoky, grilled flavor with a simple hint of chipotle and garlic while the Teriyaki is savory and sweetly grilled with a bright finish. Greg Norman Signature Wagyu Beef Jerky is all natural, gluten-free with no artificial preservatives and free of nitrates and nitrites.
