GoodWest Industries, a company that offers coffee creamers, enhancements, and specialty cold coffees, has acquired Skinny Mixes, which has four beverage collections. Skinny Mixes' portfolio includes low-calorie Skinny Syrups and Whipped Foam Toppings. Its products are available in over 10,000 specialty retail locations across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Germany, and Poland and they're sold online. The deal provides the business with entry into new channels including the foodservice and convenience segments.
GoodWest believes the company's offerings are the perfect complement for its existing portfolio. "We are excited about bringing a new dispensed flavoring format with a track record of innovation to our existing and new customers, particularly in the c-store space, which will augment our existing Javo Creations and Flavor Perks product lines," says Rick Lawlor, GoodWest's chief executive officer. He expects the multi-serve bottle format to appeal to female and Millennial consumers and boost customer loyalty and foot traffic.
