Uber has launched Uber Vouchers, allowing companies to pay for consumers' transportation, reports Food & Wine. The company can tailor the details including value, valid times, and pick-up and drop-off locations, and the sponsors can send the vouchers via e-mail, social media, or messaging.
Uber notes eateries will "now have the ability to promote dine-in experiences by removing barriers to get to their physical locations." TGI Fridays will use Uber Vouchers to help drive foot traffic during a specific time of day, to a certain location, and to offer safe rides home. Other companies that plan to use the vouchers include the Golden State Warriors, LiveNation, and MGM Resorts. Full Story
