Sweetgreen will reverse its cashless policy in all restaurants nationwide by the end of 2019, reports Eater. The chain went fully cashless in 2017 to reduce incidents of robbery and improve efficiency. At its cashless locations, employees were able to do 5 to 15 percent more transactions an hour.
However, the company noted going cashless had the unintended consequence of excluding those who prefer to or can only pay with cash. Full Story
