Some restaurants and fast food companies are giving diners discounts for bringing their own dishes and utensils, reports MarketWatch. Just Salad is one of those companies, offering a $129 program that provides a customer with a month of salads, which comes out to about $4.16 per salad. Customers need to use the chain's reusable salad bowl for the deal.
Ancolie, a New York City restaurant, serves almost its entire menu in glass Mason jars. The company offers discounts for returning the glass jars, which it charges a $2 deposit for. Even Nestle's Lean Cuisine brand is getting in on the action, launching three Asian-inspired meals in transparent, reusable cups. Full Story
