Kara Romanik. founder and CEO of Mamie's Pies, was quoted in Bakers Journal's article, "The Final Proof: Spring Forward with Fruit." Mamie's Pies are single-serve, frozen, unbaked pies with all-natural fruit fillings. 

SeafoodSource reports that Ocean's Balance, a Maine-based edible seaweed company, has won the grand prize for the fourth season of "Greenlight Maine," a TV show that promotes the state's startups and small businesses. The company was awarded $100,000 to invest in the future of its business.
