A class action lawsuit alleges that O Organics LLC's kombucha drinks contain "significant levels of alcohol" and "greatly understate" sugar content, reports Legal Newsline. The suit alleges the products contain three to five times the amount of alcohol allowed in non-alcoholic beverages without a warning regarding alcohol content.
The suit, which named Lucerne Foods Inc. as a co-defendant, argued the products violated California's Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, breach of express warranty, breach of implied warranty, negligent misrepresentation, fraud, and unjust enrichment.
