Kellogg Co. Makes Responsibly Sourced Corn Commitment

Kellogg Co. is switching to responsibly sourced corn for all Kellogg Corn Flakes sold in Europe and will add a message on the front of boxes indicating the change.

The corn used for the cereal is a special variety grown by farmers in Argentina where the conditions are suited for the crop. Kellogg says the criteria used to determine that corn is responsibly sourced includes environmental, social, and governance factors based on a standard that the company developed, which was modeled after guidelines set by well-recognized, international non-governmental industry groups.

Kellogg says this change is part of its global sustainability goal of responsibly sourcing its 10 priority ingredients. It also supports the company's Breakfasts for Better Days commitment of supporting a half million farmers around the world by the end of 2025.
