Grimaldi's Pizzeria has launched its first domestic franchise program. Currently, Grimaldi's operates 42 company-owned restaurants in 12 states from coast-to-coast. The restaurants aim to capture the "essence and energy" of the original Brooklyn pizzeria, including the centerpiece coal-brick oven and custom water system designed to replicate New York City water, which is essential to achieve the pizzeria's authentic taste, according to the company.
Grimaldis Pizzeria uses pizza-making traditions originating in Brooklyn over 100 years ago and also serves calzones and antipasto, as well as a variety of salads and house-made desserts. The restaurant features a full bar offering speciality cocktails, craft beers and wine, including its own signature Mille Gradi red blend produced in Tuscany, Italy.
Grimaldi's Pizzeria is working with MSA Worldwide to help optimize the franchise program.
