Two-thirds of consumers plan to maintain or increase consumption of animal protein in the next year, according to global research from Cargill. Eighty percent of survey participants say animal protein can be part of an environmentally responsible regimen and 93 percent say it can play an important role in a healthy diet.
Nearly one-third say food and feed manufacturers bear the most responsibility for ensuring food production is sustainable. Governments came in second and then consumers via the foods they eat. Full Story
