A La Mode, a producer of premium nut-, sesame- and egg-free ice cream, is removing all artificial ingredients from its recipes. Six flavors that are currently sold in pints, including Cooks, Speed Bump, Wired, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Pink Sprinkle are being revamped with all-natural coloring and ingredients. The company says it conducted consumer testing and the results show the new recipes do not change the products' taste or quality. A La Mode plans to launch these flavors as cups and bars in summer 2019.
The company is transitioning to 100 percent recyclable cartons as part of its effort to be a fully sustainable company. A La Mode will also add color changing spoons to its pints to complement its playful cartons.
"Up to this point, we've been able to help people with food allergies and today, this move takes the company's success, reach, and growth to the next level. It's imperative that food brands are taking a step in the right direction to make their products healthier and are utilizing a customer-oriented approach,” says Marc Roth, founder of A La Mode.
