Kraft Heinz has announced its second class for Springboard, a platform launched in 2016 to nurture, scale, and accelerate growth of disruptive brands. All incubator teams fall within at least one of Springboard's committed growth pillars, including natural and organic, specialty and craft, health and performance, and experiential brands. The class includes Blake's Seed Based, BRAMI, Ka-Pop! Ancient Ingrained Snack Co., Origin Almond, and Tiny Giants.
Blake's Seed Based makes allergen-free snack options; BRAMI offers shelf-stable lupine beans that are marinated and packaged fresh; Ka-Pop! Ancient Ingrained Snack Co. offers better-for-you snacks that deliver protein, fiber, omega-3s, potassium, and vitamins; Origin Almond makes cold-pressed almond juice as an alternative to sugary fruit juice; and Tiny Giants is a plant-based snack brand.
The selected startups will participate in a 16-week program in Chicago that includes learning, funding, infrastructure access, and mentorship. Springboard also announced that the application period for its third incubator class is open until June 14 for the fall program, which will take place Aug. 5 through Nov. 22.
