Impossible Burger Inks Largest Restaurant Deal

Starting April 1, Red Robin will offer the Impossible Cheeseburger at all 570 U.S. locations, reports Food & Wine. The burger will come with a choice of cheese, relish, red onions, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise. Customers can customize the burger and will be able to order Impossible patties to substitute the protein on other sandwiches.

"Our fans expect variety, creativity, and culinary innovation at Red Robin, so it was important for us to offer a plant-based option to traditional burger lovers, flexitarians, and everyone craving a delicious burger," says Jonathan Muhtar, EVP and chief concept officer at Red Robin.

For Impossible Foods, this marks its largest restaurant deal yet. It comes on the heels of Carl's Jr.'s decision to give the plant-based burger a limited-time run and boosts the Impossible Burger's footprint to over 5,000 eateries in the U.S., Hong Kong, and Macau, according to the report. Full Story
