Albertsons Cos. has taken Plated meal kits out of its Boise, Idaho, stores, reports BoiseDev. "The shift will allow [the company] to focus on innovation for the future expansion of Plated within the Albertsons Companies ecosystem," according to Plated's director of public relations, Liz Marsh. The meal kits are still available in Safeway stores in California's Bay Area and other locations, as well as online.
Albertsons purchased Plated in 2017 and began offering the kits in stores in select markets around the country shortly after the acquisition. Marsh says the kits will be offered in "select stores while we temporarily reduce the overall scope of Plated's retail distribution." Full Story
