Target plans to launch a new assortment of premium California wine, called The Collection, priced at $9.99 per bottle. Varietals include cabernet sauvignon, red wine blend, rose, pinot grigio, and chardonnay. The line will arrive in stores on March 3.
According to Target, The Collection's wine is sourced from the Delicato Family Vineyards, a family-owned winery that's been in business since 1935 and uses sustainable and environmentally sensitive farming practices. The line's label art is an in-house design by Target Creative inspired by the process of making wine.
As part of the announcement, Target introduced a seventh varietal in its $5 California Roots roster, Sauvignon Blanc, as well as four-pack cans of Wine Cube in sparkling White Wine and sparkling Rose. The company also introduced an 80-calorie spiked and sparkling beverage made with organic alcohol, Crook & Marker, which comes in eight flavors and has zero sugar, artificial flavors, or gluten.
