Tyson Foods has partnered with the Environmental Defense Fund to launch a series of initiatives to accelerate sustainable food production. The initiatives are designed to leverage agricultural technology to generate both economic and environmental benefits. The first project will focus on land stewardship. The companies will pilot and scale agricultural practices on 500,000 acres of corn in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, the program will expand into analyzing sustainability data on farmland and publicly communicate progress and best practices for the industry.
