Starbucks Coffee Co. is expanding its Starbucks Delivers pilot through Uber Eats to an additional six cities across the U.S. The company plans to bring the delivery service to nearly one-quarter of U.S. company-operated stores, beginning with San Francisco and expanding to select stores in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C., in the coming weeks.
The expansion comes after an initial test with Uber Eats in Miami that began in fall 2018. According to the company, the test saw strong demand, including repeat business throughout the day and positive feedback from customers.
Later in January, London will become the first European city to trial Starbucks Delivers powered by Uber Eats. Additional global markets with delivery initiatives include India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico, Colombia, and Chile.
