Publix Super Markets Inc. is introducing free online cooking classes on YouTube in an effort to pique shoppers' interest, not only in the supermarket chain but also in specialty brands sold in Publix stores, reports Tampa Bay Business Journal. The Aprons Cooking School series will feature Kraft and Chobani as partners. Momofuku will also be participating, as its bottled chili sauce is used in one of the recipes.
All three classes start at 6 p.m. EST and are free to watch. Viewers of the episode will be able to participate in a live chat with the featured Publix Aprons Cooking School chefs.
The first class, debuting Jan. 12, will teach shoppers how to build three separate meals from one of Publix's deli oven-roasted chickens. The Feb. 9 episode will feature a date night menu, and the March 9 episode, "Fill It, Stuff It & Roll It," will teach viewers how to make appetizers from around the globe. Full Story
