The latest Milk Bar location will open in Cambridge on Feb. 2, reports Food and Wine. This will mark the sixth city that the dessert restaurant has opened in since the original location opened in New York City in 2008. Milk Bar is famous for its soft serve ice cream and "Crack Pie," a confection with oat crust and a soft butter filling. The new location will also feature a locally-inspired dessert, aptly named the "Boston Cream Pie Milkquake," which is made of yellow cake, fudge sauce, cereal milk soft serve and liquid cheese cake.
“When we were working on this, we thought, ‘How do we want to write our love letter to the Boston cream pie?’” Tosi said. “I had a single bite of this milkquake, and someone literally screeched the record, dropped the mic—this is it.” Full Story
