Chobani has introduced a plant-based recipe for its new Non-Dairy Chobani products. Starting this month, the Greek yogurt company is rolling out nine coconut-based products that will be available nationwide at grocery and retail stores. The Non-Dairy Chobani platform includes single-serve cups, available in five flavors, and single-serve drinks, available in four flavors.
According to the company, Non-Dairy Chobani products are made using only natural, non-GMO ingredients, no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives. They contain no lactose, are packed with probiotics, and are made with 25 percent less sugar than other non-dairy options, the company states.
Additionally, Chobani says the Non-Dairy Chobani brand name and packaging represents the company’s advocacy for transparency as it pertains to better aligning food standards of identity. Chobani, an independent food company, aims to take a leadership role in advocating for transparency in dairy and clear distinctions between milk-based foods, such as yogurts, and other options like Non-Dairy Chobani cultured organic coconut purees.
Notably, the launch of Non-Dairy Chobani coincides with the debut of Chobani's good-for-you kids food, Chobani Gimmies, and its expanded Less Sugar Greek Yogurt portfolio.
