Blue Diamond Growers is expanding its 200,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing plant in Turlock, Calif., as it looks for growth in value-added product lines. The company broke ground on a new 52,000-square-foot building, the latest construction of a three-phased project that will eventually yield a total of approximately 500,000 square feet of building space over the next nine years.
Blue Diamond President and CEO Mark Jansen says the expansion allows the company to meet growing demand for its products. This latest phase of the project is scheduled to be completed in spring 2020, and will include new automated processing and packaging equipment to accommodate growth.
