Little Belgians has made Oprah’s Favorite Things list, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. "Evy Ballegeer, owner of the five-year-old Benicia bakery Little Belgians, says that making the list was something she has fantasized about since the beginning. Public-relations firms have promised her over the years that they could get her cookies on the list. Instead, Winfrey’s team stopped by her stand at the New York City Fancy Food Show this summer and invited her to send samples for tasting. Her reaction to the news that she made it? “I would say, even though it sounds cocky, mission accomplished.”
Newsday also reported on Oprah’s Favorite Things list. Member companies mentioned include Bella Cucina, Chelsea Market Baskets, Hancock Gourmet Lobster, Josephine’s Feast, Mount Mansfield, Sabatino, Sauce Ventures, Inc., Urbani, and Vahdam Teas.
