Darling Ingredients, a developer and producer of natural ingredients, acquired PPH Conto, a specialty food-grade animal fat processing facility in Lubien Kujawski, Poland. Randall C. Stuewe, Darling Ingredients chairman and chief executive officer says Poland is one of the fastest growing meat production areas in Europe. This acquisition allows Darling to strengthen its position in a growth area and enlarge its portfolio with high-end good-grade fats. Doing so enables the company to expand its service portfolio in Poland and across Europe for customers and suppliers, he adds.
