Pizza Hut has partnered with Toyota to develop a pizza-making pickup truck called Tundra PIE Pro. It's a full-size, zero-emission vehicle with "The Kitchen," which includes a refrigerator, a pair of computer-guided robotic arms and a portable conveyor oven, in the bed.
When an order comes in, one robotic arm removes the pizza and puts it in the oven. Once it's done, the second arm removes the pizza, places it on a cutting board, slices it then boxes the pizza. The process is completed in six to seven minutes and the pizza is delivered. Pizza Hut says the truck allows the company to expand its delivery radius without compromising quality.
