PepsiCo acquired Health Warrior Inc., a nutrition product company with a portfolio of plant-based products including nutrition bars, protein powder, and mug muffins. PepsiCo believes the transaction will further expand its reach in the U.S. nutrition category.
This is PepsiCo's first investment from The HIVE, its funding arm aimed at investing in emerging brands. Seth Kaufman, president of PepsiCo North America Nutrition, who oversees The HIVE, notes, "Health Warrior is a nutrition-forward trailblazer that can provide great insight into high value categories and consumers while benefiting from our expertise and resources to bring plant-based nutrition to more people."
