Nestle USA has partnered with three startups through the TERRA Food & Agriculture Accelerator, a program founded by RocketSpace and Rabobank to connect large corporations and emerging growth companies.
The startups Nestle is working with include Here Foods, a company that sources produce directly from farmers to create items such as cold pressed juices, spreads, dips and salad dressings; Jackson's Honest, which makes over 20 Non-GMO Project Verified snacks, including potato chips, tortilla chips, and grain-free puffs that are cooked in organic coconut oil; and Miyoko, which uses proprietary technology and traditional techniques to produce plant-based butter and cheese.
"These companies represent the future of food. Our open innovation efforts are focused on meeting companies where they are in their stage of growth and designing win-win partnerships that accelerate that growth," says Ashlee Adams, head of Open Innovation at Nestle.
