International Flavors & Fragrances has opened a flavors manufacturing facility in China that spans over 719,000 square feet. It's IFF's second manufacturing facility in the country, and is intended to supplement operations in Guangzhou. Initially, the new facility will focus on powder flavor production and additional flavor technologies will be added in a phased approach.
IFF is also slated to open a Natural Product Research lab, which will be the company's first outside of the U.S. The facility is located to leverage the botanical supply chain, biodiversity, and accumulated botanical and phytochemical knowledge. The site will complement the New Jersey research team's efforts and is expected to accelerate IFF's natural product pipeline.
