World Peas Brand expects to create more products like Peatos that offer clean-label alternatives to traditional snack brands, reports The Shelby Report.
The company's chairman and CEO noted that snacks similar to Takis or Funyuns made from a base of peas and lentils could be the next product offered by the company. The company currently offers its Peatos products in Kroger, Safeway, Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions stores, alongside online sales on Amazon and retail sales in Walmart in the Northeast. Additionally, a cease-and-desist letter sent by Frito-Lay alleging infringement of the Cheetos brand has driven media attention and sales, according to the CEO, reports The Shelby Report. Full Story
