The scent of coffee alone could be strong enough to boost cognitive performance, according to a study published in the Journal of Environmental Psychology, reports Star2.com.
The study found that a group of people who took the Graduate Management Aptitude Test in a room with the scent of coffee scored higher than a control group who took the test in a normal room. A follow-up survey indicated participants reported that they believed they would feel more alert and energetic when engaging with the coffee scent, according to the report. Full Story
