Hudsonville Creamery & Ice Cream Co. has built a test kitchen and pilot plant in Holland, Mich., reports MLive.com The $1.6 million investment will allow the company to grow its distribution network and create new and small batch flavors, like those that are part of Hudsonville's Michigan Artisan Collection.
The company sees the expansion as a way for it to honor its heritage in west Michigan and continue to build on the brand's popularity throughout the region. Hudsonville's expansion, which also includes a new silo for storing raw materials, was completed in May. The project did not require the construction of additional space, but rather, Hudsonville repurposed existing space within its building, according to the report. Full Story
