Le Cirque to Make a Comeback

Le Cirque is reportedly in the final stages of re-opening in New York City. Sources claim the family is rounding up investors and has been checking out spaces on the Upper East Side. It is allegedly close to completing funding and hopes to make a return some time in 2019.

The restaurant filed for bankruptcy in 2017. It was known as a major power-lunch spot in the 1980s and launched the careers of chefs including Daniel Boulud and Jacques Torres. This would be the restaurant's fourth location, having originally opened at the Mayfair Hotel, then moving to the New York Palace Hotel and finally ending up on 58th Street, reports New York Post. Full Story
