U.K.-based Proudly Vegan Wines is bringing its 100 percent vegan wine to the U.S. The 2018 vintage includes a Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, and Merlot from Chile's Central Valley and a Prosecco slated to hit the U.S. market in June.
Proudly Vegan and its parent company Broadland Wineries launched the brand in 2018, which has won numerous awards and earned spots in leading U.K. restaurants and retailers. Proudly Vegan decided to export the line across to America in response to data showing a 600 percent increase in the number of vegans in the U.S. over the past three years, as well as figures showing that 39 percent of Americans want to eat more plant-based foods.
Broadland is currently working to establish distribution across the U.S.
